These scales have an irritating 'power saving' feature of turning itself off. This usually happens mid-pour, so you have to fish out all the ingredients, separate them, and start again. Pros: thin and light, quick start-up time, long battery life.

This sleek, brushed stainless steel design is great for the gourmet cook. German-engineered and manufactured, the Bretagne has an easy-to-read LCD display, additive weighing function and gram/oz. conversion. Incredibly precise, its generous 10 lb. capacity can still measure in .05 oz. (1 gram) increments.For chefs who measure by weight over volume, a highly sensitive scale is an essential kitchen tool. Engineered by German company Soehnle, the scale provides accurate measurement for the most elaborate recipe or sensitive dietary needs. Its sleek rectangular shape also adds a touch of style to your kitchen décor.
The scale has a stainless-steel weighing platform and body. Measurements are conveyed on an easy-to-read LCD display. The scale adapts to either the metric or imperial system and measures quantities up to 11 pounds or five kilograms. It displays increments of .05 ounces or one gram. Other user-friendly perks include an add and weigh function.
